"TOGETHER" EPD meeting with EcoPark tenants

On 22 Mar 2023, EPD met with EcoPark tenants, and affirmed the importance of EcoPark to the recycling trade. EPD also shared the vision of EcoPark on future development and exchanged ideas with the tenants.

Jockey Club Age-friendly City Partnership Scheme 2022

EcoPark participated in the Jockey Club Age-Friendly City Partnership Scheme 2022 initiated and funded by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust. EcoPark was also awarded the certificate of "Jockey Club Age-Friendly City Partnership Scheme".

The Jockey Club Age-friendly City Partnership Scheme 2022 has been launched to continue to encourage different community sectors in building an age-friendly city that can cater for the needs of all ages. The objectives of the scheme including

  1. To encourage different community stakeholders, including the business sector, government departments and public bodies, to develop an age-friendly culture and build an age-friendly environment in the community;
  2. To provide useful resources and information to elderly people and the soon-to-be-olds so that they can achieve active aging in the community;
  3. To arouse public awareness over the importance of an age-friendly city and motivate the public to respect elderly people.

EcoPark awarded with the Hong Kong Green Organisation Certification

The 2021 Hong Kong Awards for Environmental Excellence (HKAEE) and Hong Kong Green Organisation Certification (HKGOC) Presentation Ceremony was successfully held on 20 February 2023 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. It recognized those organisations on their green management practices and contributions to environmental protection. EcoPark was honored to be one of them and awarded with the certificate of HKGOC.

The HKAEE and the HKGOC are led by the Environmental Campaign Committee (ECC) alongside the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Advisory Council on the Environment, the Business Environment Council, the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, the Chinese Manufacturers' Association of Hong Kong, the Federation of Hong Kong Industries, the Hong Kong Chinese Importers' and Exporters' Association, the Hong Kong Council of Social Service, the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce and the Hong Kong Productivity Council. The HKAEE and the HKGOC are sponsored by the Environment and Conservation Fund.

The HKGOC aims to benchmark green performances of organisations and encourages them to sustain their environmental initiatives in four major aspects, including waste reduction, energy saving, carbon reduction and indoor air quality improvement by issuing them relevant certificates. Participating organisations can obtain the title of Hong Kong Green Organisation if they can demonstrate and attain certain environmental achievements.
