Special Tours

46 Housing Department staff and 66 Environmental Protection Department staff visited EcoPark on 17 and 22 January 2020, respectively. The tours were started with a presentation of the background and latest development of the EcoPark, followed by a guided visit to the Visitor Centre and a bus tour to our tenants and facilities. Special tours to the recycling plant of K. Wah Construction Products Limited were also arranged to let them know more about the recycling processes.

Christmas Trees Recycling Programme

The Environmental Protection Department organized "Natural Christmas Tree Recycling Programme" between 3 and 6 January, 2020 at the Central Collection Point (CCP) at EcoPark and various District Collection Points. The collection service at CCP continued to operate between 7 and 18 January. The collected Christmas Trees will be recycled to various useful materials, thereby helping conserve resources and reduce waste. E-certificates will be issued to participants to recognize their contribution to environmental protection.

Peach Blossom Trees Recycling Programme

The Environmental Protection Department organized "Peach Blossom Tree Recycling Programme" between 1 and 8 February, 2020 at the Central Collection Point (CCP) at EcoPark and various District Collection Points. The collection service at CCP continued to operate between 9 and 15 February. The collected Peach Blossom Trees (PBTs) will be recycled to various useful materials, thereby helping conserve resources and reduce waste. E-certificates will be issued to participants who delivered the PBTs to the CCP to recognize their contribution to environmental protection.
