Nomination of "2018 Friends of EcoPark" Scheme is Now Open

Nomination of "2018 Friends of EcoPark" Scheme has commenced and will end on 31 July 2018. Any organizations, institutions or companies which have provided supportive channels to assist the operation of the EcoPark tenants' recycling businesses (including supply of waste resources to the EcoPark tenants, use of the recycling products made from EcoPark during daily operation, or provision of other/indirect assistance to the EcoPark tenants) in this year are eligible to receive nomination through the EcoPark tenants.

The Environmental Protection Department (EPD) and EcoPark Management Company are calling for your support to participate in the Scheme. Seize the opportunity to be part of it! For details, please visit the EcoPark website.

 
 
Community Promotional Activity

To promote tenants' recycling businesses, EcoPark participated in Tuen Mun District Occupational Safety & Health (OS&H) Carnival 2018 on 24 March 2018. Apart from setting up booth game for OS&H, information about the recycling services from all EcoPark tenants and the message of "Reduce, Reuse and Recycle" were also disseminated to the public through game booth. EcoPark Management Company also received Bronze Award in the CLP Trophy Game in the same event.

Tender for Lot

Tender Reference No.: EP17-04

The EPD previously invited the recycling industry to tender for lease of a lot of about 4,920m2 in EcoPark (Tender Reference No.: EP17-04). After tender assessment, the lease was awarded to HP Telford Envirotech Group Limited (hereinafter "HP Telford") for recycling waste plastics. Public can pay close attention to subsequent newsletters in order to keep abreast of the latest development of HP Telford.

Tender Reference No.: EP18-01

The EPD invited tender for lease of a lot with an area 19,000m2 for waste paper recycling business on 29 March 2018 (Tender Reference No.: EP18-01). The Tender Closing Date has been extended to 22 June 2018. Interested recyclers are advised to pay attention to the EPD's tender notice.

 
 
Special Tour

Representatives from the Human Settlements and Environment Commission of Shenzhen Municipality visited EcoPark on 8 March 2018 to understand the latest development of waste management in Hong Kong. The visitors also visited Champway Technology Limited to learn the recycling operation of waste cooking oil.

The Tuen Mun District Council visited EcoPark on 12 April 2018. Besides understanding the lastest development of EcoPark, members also visited WEEE‧PARK to learn the recycling process of WEEE.
