The Environmental Protection Department (EPD) previously invited the recycling industry to tender for lease of a lot of about 6,500 square meters in EcoPark (Tender Reference no.: EP17-02). After tender assessment, the lease was awarded to Baguio Waste Management & Recycling Limited (hereinafter "Baguio") for recycling waste plastics. Public can pay close attention to subsequent newsletters in order to keep abreast of the latest development of Baguio.

The EPD invited tender for lease of a lot (Tender Reference No.: EP17-03) with an area 5,000 m2 for waste recycling business in late August 2017. Details about this tender can be found on the EPD website and the tender closing date is at 1200 noon on 13 October 2017.

Community Promotion Activity

To promote "Clean Recycling" and the recycling businesses of EcoPark tenants, EcoPark participated in the Riviera Gardens Festival at Riviera Gardens, Tsuen Wan on 7 August 2017. Through booth games and displayed information, public could better understand the importance of 3Rs and the recycling processes of EcoPark tenants. The booth received over 100 visits during the event and gained positive feedback. Tsuen Wan District Council member, Mr Chow Ping Tim presented a souvenir to the representative of EcoPark for supporting this activity.

Activity Information

Recycled Artworks Donation Scheme

To provide more information about "Reduce, Reuse, Recycle" to the visitors, EcoPark has launched the Recycled Artworks Donation Scheme by inviting primary and secondary schools in Tuen Mun and Yuen Long District to donate recycled artworks. Selected artworks will be displayed in the newly developed “Reuse of Waste Materials” area. Schools that are interested to participate in this Scheme can directly contact EcoPark on or before 15 November 2017.

Special Tours

Members from green group 121C Recycling Station visited EcoPark on 22 July 2017. The visitors were briefed of the operation of local recycling industry, as well as the government efforts on waste reduction and recycling.

Representatives of Consulate General of the United States of America Hong Kong and Macau visited EcoPark on 18 August 2017 to learn the development of EcoPark and the government efforts on waste reduction and recycling.

Jointly organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council and Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd., co-organized by the Environment Bureau, The Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the 12th edition of Eco Expo Asia will be held from 26 October to 29 October 2017 at the AsiaWorld-Expo. The Eco Expo Asia is a prominent event in Asia and is expected to gather over 320 exhibitors showcasing cutting-edge environmental protection technologies and innovative intelligent products. Exhibit categories include Green Building and Energy Efficiency, Green Transportation, Environmental Protection Services and Research, etc. The Eco Expo Asia will open to the public on 29 October 2017 with free admission and the public can participate in various activities. The booth for EcoPark and tenants will be located at 3-D12,D14,E11,E13 in Hong Kong Pavilion. Industrial peers and the public are most welcomed to visit our booth.
