A Visit to the Green Features at EcoPark

To achieve sustainability, EcoPark has adopted eco-friendly building design to reduce the energy consumption during its operation. Eco-friendly building features, such as Solar Photovoltaic Panel, Terracotta Louvers, etc., help to reduce EcoPark's reliance on fossil fuels, and the overall impact to the environment.

To raise the public's awareness of eco-friendly building, docent tour is now available in EcoPark and visitors will be guided around the Administration Building and the nearby green features. The tour will take about 30 to 40 minutes and the maximum capacity of the tour is 20 persons. Interested public or organization can register via enquiry@ecopark.com.hk or at 2496 7633.

A group of students from the Saint John's University, USA visited EcoPark Visitor Centre in early January 2017 to learn more about the generation and recycling of municipal solid waste in Hong Kong.

The Business Environment Council organized a workshop at EcoPark in late-February 2017. Apart from sharing latest information on local waste management, participants also visited EcoPark Visitor Centre.

Situated at 27 Sheung Yee Road, Kowloon Bay, the Kwun Tong Community Green Station (CGS) is the third of its kind in Hong Kong. The operator, Christian Family Service Centre, targets at residents with different background, to organize different promotional and community educational activities, both inside and outside the CGS; and support local recycling works through the collection of recyclable waste in the community so that the public can participate in recycling activities.
