Chinese New Year is approaching, families and friends will have meal together to celebrate the festival. However, people usually prepare or order too much, causing food wastage. Therefore, we need to cherish food and not to be a Big Waster.

Public participation in avoiding food wastage and waste reduction is needed. People should plan festive dining with proper portion size and only order a suitable number of dishes. People should also have control when buying festive candies. Surplus edible food should be donated to the needy after the festival.
