Urban Property Management Limited is awarded a service contract of Environmental Protection Department to provide management services for EcoPark

A contract signing ceremony was held at the Environmental Protection Department (EPD) office to signify the appointment of Urban Property Management Limited (UPML), a subsidiary of Urban Group, as the facility management company for EcoPark in Tuen Mun in the coming 4 years commencing 30th October 2014.

Dr Edmond Cheng, Managing Director of Urban Group said, "We are most delighted to have the opportunity to serve EPD, starting from 30th October 2014. EcoPark is a unique public facility in town with a total area of 20 hectares. Every day, tonnes of recyclable waste materials are handled. Through various recycling processes, the recyclable materials collected are transformed into various green products and raw materials. Hence, we have assigned a dedicated and professional service team to provide day-to-day facility management services at the premises."

The dedicated and professional service team of 12 onsite members is supported by a special Steering Committee at Headquarters level to ensure the quality level of management service performance.

Immediately within the first week of the takeover, a Tenant Tea Gathering event was called by UPML to allow an introduction of the onsite team to all favourable tenants at EcoPark.

On 6th November 2014, representatives from EPD and tenants of EcoPark shared a marvelous time at Meeting Room 1 of the Administration Building of EcoPark during the Tenant Tea Gathering as presented by the new operator, Urban Property Management Limited

It is expected that UPML ensures not only professional service which meet the requirement of the service contract but to strive for the most representable work partner with EPD and tenants of EcoPark.

 
 
Guide of Tenants

Mr. Wong Kam-sing, JP, Secretary for the Environment (in the middle on the left) and Hon Chan Hak-kan, JP, Chairman of Panel on Environmental Affairs of LegCo together with Ms. Susanna Ng, Director of E. Tech Management (HK) Ltd. officiated the Topping Off Ceremony on 20th November 2014 at EcoPark

A Topping Off Ceremony to the plant of E. Tech Management (HK) Ltd. at EcoPark was held successfully on 20th November 2014 with almost a hundred recycling advocates being participated in the event to welcome the new joiner to EcoPark.

As stated by Ms. Susanna Ng, Director of E. Tech Management (HK) Ltd., after commissioning of her plant at EcoPark, it is expected that her monthly throughput would boost up 4 times to the existing operation at other areas in Hong Kong.

K. Wah Construction Products Limited at EcoPark is now commissioning. Her operation is smooth.
K. Wah keeps a very high standard of cleanliness and tidiness while running their business at EcoPark
K. Wah supplies a wide range of Eco pavement produced from waste construction material and waste glass.

Special Tours
Officials from National Environment Agency of Singapore and other retinues paid a visit to EcoPark to exchange ideas in environmental protection policies between Hong Kong and Singapore. In addition to paying a visit to EcoPark Visitor Centre, they also visited the tenants, K. Wah Construction Products Limited and Champway Technology Limited.  
Director and Government Lawyer of Hangzhou Academy of Environmental Science, Mr. WU Guang-hua paid a visit to EcoPark to learn about the role played by EcoPark in promoting the local recycling industry. In addition to paying a visit to EcoPark Visitor Centre, he also visited the tenants, St. James' Settlement "WEEE Go Green" and Champway Technology Limited.  
Director of Shanghai Municipal Hong Kong & Macao Affairs Office, Mr. QIAN Yu-lin paid a visit to EcoPark to get an idea of the operation of the park. Mr QIAN not only paid a visit to EcoPark Visitor Centre, but also visited the tenants, St. James' Settlement "WEEE Go Green" and Champway Technology Limited.
