The Federation of Hong Kong Industries and the Hang Seng Bank have joined hands to recognize and encourage sound environmental practices by manufacturing companies in Hong Kong and the Pearl River Delta (PRD) region through the Hang Seng Pearl River Delta Environmental Awards under the manufacturing category of the One Factory-One Year-One Environmental Project Programme. The Awards has been launched since 2007, and has expanded to cover the pan PRD region in 2013.

Applications are invited from manufacturing companies with a valid business registration certificate that undertake their manufacturing processes in the pan PRD region. Participating companies are required to have completed at least one environmental project between 1 January 2013 and 31 December 2013. Category of environmental project includes: energy conservation, water management, waste discharge reduction and treatment, recycling of resources, air emissions, noise abatement, green management and green innovation. Application deadline is on 29 August 2014.
